The Gambler 500 inspires some amazing vehicles– the 1955 Desoto “Chupacabra” and Lightner Racing 911 Rally Porsche come to mind. If you don’t yet know, the Gambler 500 is an off-road rally adventure challenge with weird cars, weird people, and most importantly… and epic trail cleanup. Tevya Friedman’s 1976 Corvette Stingray rally car / Gambler build was a highlight of this year’s socially distanced and dispersed OG.
Gambler 500 Washington: Isolation Violation Minibike 100
The Gambler 500: wild adventures, weird cars, weirder people, and the biggest trail cleanup in the world! It’s not a race, rule number one is don’t be a dick, the rules are “fun>rules”, and you’re encouraged to spend as little money as possible. These factors have brought together the best group of people to create one of the coolest car-cultures and string of events to ever exist on planet earth.

Walther in the Wild
It’s no surprise that dogs enjoy a big property… and Walther loved getting some playtime on acreage up in Washington sorta near Seattle.
Food: Boxer Ramen Burnside, Portland
Good ramen isn’t the easiest to find, and a welcome comfort food after a hard day. Boxer Ramen in Portland, Oregon is one of my favorite places to slurp down this delicious Japanese ramen soup.
Purple Prius Eater: Grays River, Washington
Touring country roads scouting country property in Grays River, Washington.
Gambler 500 SoCal: Out of Bounds

Old Portland: The Fresh Pot, Mississippi Ave
A quaint little coffee shop on Mississippi Ave in North Portland.
